AT a loose end this evening? Love cabaret and good food? Popular central London restaurant and music venue, Floridita, is all set to host a special charity performance of Cabaret Floridita. The evening provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy jaw-dropping performances whilst doing your bit for charity. That warm fuzzy feeling won’t just be a result of too many cocktails.
In a wonderful show of support, Floridita promises a night to remember. The line-up of glittering acts includes The Globe Girls, burlesque queen Sophia St Villier, and an extra special gig from the Black Hat Band, a disco a funk band that are sure to get you dancing.
The glamorous live music and burlesque night is entirely in aid of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal for 2011, Bare Necessities. The charity is devoted to ‘Building Better Lives’ in more ways than one: it seeks to help children in London access education and greater life opportunities, as well as supporting international disaster relief. The charity unites with the work of Coram, the UK’s first ever children’s charity, and RedR, a charity that provides additional training for engineers and other relief workers to enable them to effectively respond to worldwide emergencies. Have a look at www.thelordmayorsappeal for more information regarding the work of the charity.
Tickets cost £45 and include a three-course meal from the cabaret menu as well as a cocktail on arrival. The most fantastic part of the evening is that ALL proceeds will be donated to the Lord Mayor’s Appeal 2011.
Floridita is D&D London restaurant. The company owns and operates more than 30 restaurants in London, Paris, New York, Copenhagen and Tokyo. Its most recent opening is Carom, the group’s first Indian concept, which is set to launch in Soho this month.
