Zach Braff’s All New People

All New People is the much anticipated new comedy starring and written by Scrubs star Zach Braff. The American actor is making his UK debut next year opening in London at the Duke of York’s Theatre.

The critically acclaimed comedy, which has packed out theatres all over the US, presents everyday predicaments through the eyes of four very different people. Set in winter, protagonist Charlie has become depressed as he hits the age of 35. Interrupted from his solitude, his friends show up and ruin his plans of self-loathing. These include a hired beauty, a fireman and an eccentric British estate agent, who all of which find themselves clinging onto Charlie as they try to stay in the country, to Charlie’s dismay.

The play has received rave reviews including that of Charles Isherwood from the New York Times, claiming it to be, “Sensationally funny! The jokes are delivered with the precision of ace dart throwers in this slick and lively comedy.” The actor, writer and director is best known for his TV comedy Scrubs, as well as the award winning Garden State and he is a three time Golden Globe nominee and Grammy Award winner.

The play is directed by the award-winning Peter DuBois, who directed Becky Shaw at the Almeida Theatre, which was nominated for an Evening Standard Theatre Award. Set to be a smash, Braff’s comedy All New People is bound to be a must see, with it being “a hipper, edgier take on the bantering comedies that were once the domain of playwrights like Neil Simon,”says David Rooney, from the Hollywood Reporter.
