Win A Mother's Day Lunch At Cantina Del Ponte

STILL wondering where to wine and dine Mother this Sunday? Whisk her down to Tower Bridge for a long, lazy lunch, Italian-style.

Riverside restaurant Cantina del Ponte in The Butler's Wharf Building, Shad Thames is giving away a three-course Mother's Day lunch for two, complete with a glass of prosecco for Mum, a sommelier-selected bottle of wine, tea and coffee.

Cantina_661Their Mother's Day menu showcases the best of their cuisine – which they sum up with the three Rs of good Italian eating: rustic, robust and reasonably priced.

With dishes such as octopus salad with potatoes and cherry tomato, chicken paillard and grilled vegetables, and raspberry semifreddo with chocolate and strawberry sauce, it will make for an indulgent lunch.

The restaurant interior matches the food with a terracotta floor and a mural of an Italian marketplace running the length of the dining room. Looking outwards, there's uninterrupted views of Tower Bridge from the window seats and terrace.

Their head chef, Claudio Gottardo, has a background in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy (and has cooked personalised menus for Michael Jackson and Dido in his time).
