What is your most cherished wardrobe staple?
It changes from time to time, but at the moment it is a vintage hot air balloon print blouse I bought in Los Angeles when I was there last April. I think it is from the lat ’50s and the print is beautiful, really striking and fun.
Who has influenced your style the most?
My grandmother shaped my vision of what personal style should be. She was a very unique dresser, very sharp. My mum is also very stylish and I grew up looking at photos from her modelling days. All that stayed etched in my mind.
What was your most embarrassing wardrobe malfunction?
I think the ’90s were a giant wardrobe malfunction for me. I was really into the club scene and as a teen, I took the aesthetics of it a little too literally. So I proudly use to wear orange combats trousers and teeny-tiny T-shirts. Thank god that didn’t last too long and my indie side took over.
Besides your wallet and keys, what do you never leave home without in the morning?
My iPhone, I am obsessed with this app on it called CatPaint, which lets you add cats with laser eyes to any photo. It made some of my photos from fashion week that much more interesting.
Which fashion blogs (besides your own) do you check with before making a big purchase?
I don’t really check blogs before making a purchase. Actually I don’t really check anything before making a purchase apart from a list I keep of stuff I need. This is a bit of a lame answer I guess!
What would you wear to meet the Queen?
Head to toe Luella, what else?
Which guy has great style?
I am going to go for the easy answer here – Monsieur Robot, aka Warren Beckett, who writes the menswear section of my site. He has an amazing style, and I am not saying that just because he is my best friend. My friend Matthew Gray Gubler (actor/director) also has good style. They both can rock a bow-tie and I do love a man in a bow-tie.
Who is your girl crush?
Currently, I love this American blogger called Crystal Lee from Naked Cowgirl Vintage She has the best style and her photos are always amazing.
Which London neighbourhood’s style do you most identify with? Are you a Chelsea girl, Essex WAG, City slicker, Soho siren?
This is a tough one as I am from Paris, so my style is pretty much a mix between Paris and London. Saint Pancras dweller?
Where do you go for good vintage shopping?
Mainly online because I don’t actually like physically going to the shops.I love Etsy.com and can spend hours on there looking for gems.
