New design talent coming soon to a catwalk near you

HOSTING a catwalk presentation and launching collections from new British designers, PROFILE has become a stepping stone for young fashion talent. This season, not only with they be introducing and supporting new fashion designers, PROFILE will also be celebrating its tenth year with Fashion Enter. Returning in November and taking place at One Marylebone, the show will be the place to spot the next generation of hot British talent.

Runway presentations will include some of the UK’s new and promising designs for ladies, menswear and accessory designers, and will ultimately merge the new faces of Graduate Fashion Week with the big names involved in London Fashion Week. In past shows, PROFILE has been a launch pad for designers such as Elizabeth Lau, Angel Jackson, Hemyca and Alice Palmer, to name a few.

The non-profit company, Fashion Enter, are currently preparing for the PROFILE fashion show and presently in mid-selection process for the pieces and designers.

The selection panel includes Siouxsie, PROFILE’s stylist as well as Paul Swaby, whose credentials consist of being the show’s producer, a former model for Vivienne Westwood and Amanda Wakeley, as well as the founder of RAH Productions, the company charged with putting the catwalk shows together. With copious amounts of talent going through the selection process, the final collections are guaranteed to be up to fashion week standards.

The Only Way is Essex star, Lauren Goodger, will be presenting her fashion collection, Lauren’s Way, amongst the new designers. The collection features an assortment of day and evening wear, alongside a unique catwalk collection designed by Lauren and FashionCapital. The director of FashionCapital, Jenny Holloway, says that Lauren is a "new and exciting talent,” with her collection ranging from size eight to size eighteen.

This year PROFILE will be working alongside BrandAlley and Debenhams, who will be holding a competition for menswear designers, the winners of which will be announced at the end of the show and their collections sold in a Westfield store launch in spring next year. Adam Creasey, the divisional trading director at Debenhams said, “We are delighted to be supporting PROFILE again, which is now into its tenth season. Debenhams have been the originators of true designer collections on the high street and our continual support for new and emerging talent demonstrates Debenhams' commitment to continual newness and unique collections for our customers.”

The fashion show has promoted hundreds of new designers to the world of fashion through working with Debenhams and other retailers such as Topshop, Hobbs and House of Fraser. Hailed as a “platform of design” by Hilary Alexander, the fashion editor of The Daily Telegraph, PROFILE will be unveiling 22 new and exciting designers and their collections.
