Under £10 - Paul A Young

IF you want to eat like a king (or queen) for under £10, then this is a very simple recommendation – Paul A Young chocolates. They are about £2 plus a piece but they can change your mind as to what chocolate should be about.


They taste like, well, they taste hip. The salted caramel is already much copied around town. They are freshly made (i.e. they go off, so eat them) which is the key difference and Young has an imagination as to what to do with chocolates that is like a phd in chocolate.


Last Christmas he even pulled off a feat that I had previously thought impossible – a chocolate that goes with whisky...


There are three shops - Islington, Soho and the City plus tutored evenings next month for would-be afficionadoes.
