You are here: London Confidential › Food & Drink.
IF you like to eat — and let’s be honest, who doesn’t? — then the Real Food Festival is a must. This is basically a greet and eat with some of the best food suppliers in Britain. Not only is everything prepared to perfection and a work of art to look at (see cupcakes, macaroons and scrummy bread), all of these folks are dedicated to “feeding people good, seasonal, nutritionally-dense food and drink that has been produced in a sustainable and ethical way.” Their philosophy is simple: “Re-connect people back to where their food comes from and to promote the idea of buying directly from the people who actually produce our food.” And after seeing what is on offer from local producers you’ll wonder why you weren’t buying and eating locally all along. The show features everything from Welsh cheese to English asparagus to gluten-free breads and cakes — and everything in between. If you don’t taste enough to make the admission price worth it then you have definitely done something wrong. Add this one to your annual event calendar!
