LOVE living life on the edge? Well if you are a Canary Wharf commuter you could do just that on your way to the office. In an intriguing collaboration with Reebok CrossFit, artist partnership 3D Joe & Max created an outdoor workout area with a three dimensional twist.
The space is characterized by the appearance of mammoth crevices, cliff tops and cascading waterfalls, all in the name of illusion. The effect is uncanny, something you have to see for yourself to believe. And at 12,490.441 square feet, the work of art stands as the largest and longest 3D painting on the planet, setting the Guinness World Record.
The impact is dizzying, a reminder of the extent to which our eyes and minds can betray us.. As much as we love London’s trademark views, the contrast provides a welcoming break to its familiar greys and concrete slabs. What better way to show off your muscles to the company secretary than flexing them on the edge of a snowcapped mountain?
