Fleming Hotel Gets Interactive

EVER stumbled out of a truly unique antiques shop or art gallery in central London and wanted to express your enthusiasm about finding such hidden gems to the people walking by? To the rest of the street even? It is our belief that pursuing such fervour will always follow with an overwhelming feeling of disappointment. The shear magnitude of expressing oneself in such a manner that will truly represent your eagerness, your passion so clearly, so unmistakably, to then never be fully comprehended, must surely be one of the greatest challenges that human interaction faces so far.

Well now Flemings Hotel in Mayfair has the perfect way to dispose of such enthusiasm, quickly and effectively. They have introduced a new scheme, designed by Londoners for Londoners, which pinpoints both the diamonds in the rough and the firm inner city favourites. What’s the catch I hear you cynical Londoners cry? Aha! It’s a twist. A cocktail twist in fact – as, at the end of each month, the winner for the most ‘imaginative’ interactive map will receive free cocktails at the Flemings hotel bar.

Running for the past few months, maps have included ‘An Art Lover’s Guide to Mayfair,’ ‘Dog-friendly London,’ and ‘A Gentleman’s Guide to Mayfair,’ where the latter shows some fourteen separate points across the Belgravia borough. Tailored, it may seem, for the finer gentleman, stopovers include Cad and The Dandy Mayfair tailors, Church Shoes and Sautter Cigars, whilst canines can enjoy places such as the Harrods Pet Spa, the City Barn and Mayfair Mutts – a private grooming salon for dogs, offering services such as dog-walking, dining and even parties.

If, like me, you feel no obligation to maintain the delights of secret London, though – let’s be honest – where is there within zone one anymore – why not exploit this rather delightful and original offer and share what you both know and love with others who wish to gain the full London experience. Well, the finer part that is.
