Shelter From The Storm Christmas Fete
An event with a heart; the charity Shelter From The Storm are taking hold of Islington Green this Saturday, where the public will be able to visit Santa in his grotto, take part in the crafts areas, drink mulled wine and feast on mince pies, all whilst delving into the racks of vintage clothes. The event is free and all the money raised will go straight to the charity, which is London’s only free homeless shelter. You can also take part in the raffle bonanza, with the prizes including an Arsenal Family Stadium Tour, a coffee machine, theatre tickets and a dinner for two at a choice of one of London’s finest restaurants. Secret Emporium Christmas Market
At London Confidential, we are all very excited about the prospect of the people behind the fantastic Secret Garden Party creating a one-day-only market this Sunday. The alternative market will include a range of clothes, housewares, entertainments and live performances, all of which are delightfully eccentric (of course). Like all great Christmas markets, you are invited to raid the samples, whilst sipping on a glass of mulled wine and stuffing your face with mince pies. Held at Shoreditch’s Village Underground, the market is set to transform east London into a theatrical wonderland, as well as showcasing new designers such as Grace du Prez and Kate Gilliland.

Horse Show

London International Horse Show
Considerably more conservative than the rest of the events we have brought to your attention, the London International Horse Show is an equestrian’s dream. The week-long competitions will start this weekend and include dressage and jumping, as well as the debut of the show’s first extreme driving competition on the 15th and 16th, which will feature Lusitano Quadrille and many others. The show will also treat us to the Shetland Pony Grand National and the Kennel Club Dog Agility competition. And we all know the show would not be complete with the shopping village and Christmas finale.

Tickets range from £30 – £55 (special rates for children, senior citizens and groups on the following performances)
