Everyone loves The Queen of Hoxton for it’s summery rooftop bar, but this Saturday from 11am to 6pm, there’s a whole new reason to pay the East End favourite a visit.  KnickerRocker Glory and Psychemagik will be presenting a free Music & Makers Market, featuring Hoola competitions, specially selected stalls and a DJ. A contemporary twist on the village fete.

Taking over The Chelsea Old Town Hall this Friday and Saturday will be a sample sale often regarded as the best in the UK. Fashion of all calibres and prices will be available with VIP tickets on sale on their website for those wanting to go bargain-hunting before the masses.

Ever had an overwhelming desire to complete the largest jigsaw puzzle in the world? Whether it’s been a dream since you were young or it’s something that sounds quite trivial, yet entertaining, this Saturday and Sunday could see many dreams realized. Comedian, Paul Foot, (owner of said 32,256 piece jigsaw puzzle) is looking for people to come along and help him. It costs £5 per person per day of helping – but just think of the satisfaction at the end. Unless, of course, there’s one missing piece.

On Saturday 9 July, the theatre company, Chickenshed, will be running silent discos throughout the day and evening for anyone aged 8+. Earlier in the day the events will run for the young’uns, but after 8pm, the adults take to the floor. Tickets are £5 for under 18s and £10 for adults.

Amnesty Summer Fayre

To celebrate Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary, the charity will be hosting an old fashioned summer fayre on Islington Green. Expect homemade cakes, games and other traditional frivolities between Noon and 4pm. All money raised goes towards Amnesty projects.

MazeMazeInterference at The ICA

As part of the Mayor of London’s Shubbak festival, the ICA will be running a three day event from Friday to Sunday looking at art in the Middle East. Run in collaboration with Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, there are talks, screening and workshops, which are set to engage visitors and offer insights into contemporary Middle Eastern culture.

Meetings without Masks

With their website stating they offer ‘Naked Dating’ that doesn’t involve taking clothes off, Meetings without Masks is one of the city’s many events that aims to bring together singles to find love. Will you find love at The Light Centre? Maybe, but it is sure to be enlightening whatever. Booking in advance is necessary on their website.

If the idea of sticking out in a small yoga session scares you then why not join up to 124 others at the Round Pond in Kensington Gardens for a 90 minute yoga session. It costs £5 to take part and we’ve been assured it’ll take place rain or shine.
