Dr Martens Put Up For Sale
One of Britain's best loved boot and shoe makers, Dr Martens, is being put up for sale by R Griggs Group after 50 years of ownership. Current owner Max Griggs's father bought the design rights after the second World War when the boots were standard kit for the German army. It is thought the company could fetch as much as £120 million.

Nobu To Set-Up In Shoreditch
Nobu is opening a hotel in Shoreditch, according to real estate magazine Property Week. The Michelin-starred restaurant, a hotspot for A-list celebrities, has cited the trendy area of east London as the ideal spot to begin development for a 143-room hotel in partnership with boutique hotels developer Meir Abutbul.

Rogue Warden
The next time you happen to be walking your dog around Ramsgate, be careful that some bloke dressed in uniform doesn't fine you. Dog walkers are being asked to be cautious after reports confirmed that a bogus warden had been issuing £50 on-the-spot fines to people who let their pets run free in areas where leads are required.

Her Maj
A cartoon collection depicting the Queen over the last 30 years will be on display at The Cartoon Museum to celebrate her Diamond Jubilee. There will be up to 80 works by more than 30 artists each showing the ever changing perception of the monarchy. The exhibition runs until April.

Bermondsey Cats And Dogs Home Saved
For those of you who were losing sleep over the uncertainty hanging over the home's future, you'll be pleased to know that two kind Korean businessman have swooped in and saved Bermondsey Cats and Dogs from certain bankruptcy at the last minute. Kim Ok Wok Kim, 54 and Owk Wok Kim Kok, 73, flew into London over the weekend to rescue the debt ridden sanctuary.

Sci-Fi Fashion
London College of Fashion students boldy went where no man had gone before with a sci-fi themed final show collection at the V & A Museum in South Kensington. On the men's side, an eye mask paired with a sunburned-patterned jacket, red leather trousers and gloves was on display and on the women's side, various angular silhouettes and quirky headgear.

Top-Totty-Beer-007Top Totty Beer Banned From Parliament
Major drama at Westminster today with the news that the popular Top Totty ale is to be removed from the parliament bar after a complaint from shadow equalities minister, Kate Green. Unofficial reports are claiming that some MP's are instigating a campaign to get the beer back in parliament, surely a testament to its claim of being 'stunningly seductive'.
