Swarovski Take Over London

LAST Saturday saw London swarming with treasure hunters in celebration of Swarovski’s first ever cinema spot Discover your Light, a three-minute film by the artist and director, Bruno Aveillan, famous for creating many serene and peaceful adverts, such as Guerlain. The live marketing scheme was a great success which covered a wide audience of the brand’s faithful customers and a newer technology smart generation. The treasure hunters used the latest SCVNGER app downloaded to their smartphones in order to trail around the city looking for clues and winning sparkling prizes. With the eager hunters congregating at the Royal Horticultural Halls, Lawrence Hall before setting off to solve clues.   

The treasure hunt involved many challenges which were put together by a creative panel, which was made up of both Swarovski and magazine Dazed and Confused. The treasure hunts location were selected by big names in the music, art, literature and fashion industry including Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip, the fashion designer Mary Katrantzou, the author of the acclaimed Submarine, Joe Dunthorne and the Tuner Prize nominee, Mark Titchner. The day came to fantastic finale, with great sets from Alexis Taylor and Filthy Dukes, back at Lawrence Hall.

The brilliantly creative brand Swarovski is renowned for its beautiful diamonds around the world, becoming an essential part of international design. Therefore it was no surprise when the prizes included the beautiful iconic ‘Nirvana Ring’, perfume and a grand prize of an all-expenses paid trip to Florence. The luxury trip included a private VIP stop off tour of Swarovski’s Crystal World in Austria before staying in a 5* hotel in Italy. All part of Swarovski’s 115th birthday celebrations, the treasure hunt was a great success, with  many contented city dwellers, with some leaving covered in bling.
